Manny leads the MEFL consulting team and through this role helps provide a range of services to clients from across the government-community-commercial spectrum.
Manny came to MEFL in 2016 to help develop and deliver a strategy to roll out community and commercial-scale solar across the municipality and beyond. He brings with him technical and management experience within the commercial solar and community energy fields, along with a solid working knowledge and interest in large scale renewables, energy efficiency, innovative business models and mechanisms to further the renewables transition, and broader ‘whole of system’ approaches to the transition.
Over the past 10 years Manny has worked on diverse projects across the sustainability field including conservation, climate, water and environmental management projects in Europe, Latin America and Australia. Over the past 6 years, Manny has focused on building a strong and vibrant community energy sector through his work as a director with Community Power Agency, a founding member of the Victorian Community Solar Alliance, and project manager of the Community Solar Toolkit Project – a collaboration between the Solar Alliance and MEFL set to deliver in 2018 a range of crucial tools and legal resources to help scale the sector.
In his spare time Manny loves getting his hands dirty in the garden and getting stuck in to new projects on his property in Central Victoria.
