I am currently managing and carrying out the Business Improvement Project, which is made up of several initiatives that aim to reduce manual effort in our processes, provide efficiencies and prepare MEFL for future growth.
Previously I worked for 11 years at Australia Post, where I first began in HR covering roles in Learning & Development, Organisation Development, Workplace Health & Safety, Advisory and Recruitment. I then moved on to various Business Analysis and Consulting roles. I really enjoyed the variety of work; it ranged from sitting in a van driving around with a parcel delivery officer asking about their day, to filling out data sheets at 1:00am, to thinking out a deployment strategy for a new system in HQ. While working at Australia Post I completed a Bachelor of Business in HR and Info Systems and a Master of Commerce (General Business).
I have been playing guitar for a while and like a good old jam and making music! I enjoy turn-based strategy games and helping out at my local soccer club as a team manager and committee member. Now and again I also get stuck into some tree planting and weeding as part of our group called Friends of Eumemmering Creek.
The best piece of sustainability advice I ever got/gave is…Use less of everything to begin with.
The thing I love most about Moreland is…the vision and leadership it showed back as early as the 1970s and 80s and continues to prosper as a progressive and environmentally conscious city.
I love…food – the two prime food ‘Ps’ in particular, Pizza and Pasta!
