More solar for Moreland businesses

MEFL has been helping businesses across the City of Moreland save money on their energy bills by going solar. Including local business Otto and Spike who installed a 29.8kW system using Environmental Upgrade Financing. This is a new form of finance which enables local businesses to borrow money through Moreland City Council to fund environmental upgrades to their buildings. It provides businesses with access to low cost finance and enables them to spread repayments over an agreed period to ensure they are cash flow positive throughout.

MEFL Solar for Business

Otto and Spike were also one of the first Moreland businesses to utilise MEFL’s Solar for Business service. This service helps businesses to navigate the solar market by linking them with three trusted suppliers and helping them understand which deal is the best for them.

Another business who has used this service is Conga Foods, who have just installed Moreland’s biggest solar array on their Newlands factory – at a whopping 458kW! This is estimated to save 700 tonnes carbon emissions every year.
