MEFL’s CEO, Alison Rowe will be sleeping outside on 22 June as part of the Vinnies CEO Sleepout. Along with thousands of other CEOs around Australia, Alison will be experiencing for one night what over 105,000 people experience every night – sleeping in the winter cold without a roof over her head.
Apart from being an opportunity for business and community leaders to ‘walk in the shoes’ of people experiencing homelessness, the event is a fundraiser for Vinnies.
Vinnies support people experiencing homelessness through a range of person centred and holistic support services including crisis accommodation, domestic violence support, access to budget counselling, lifeskills courses and legal advice, as well as assisting in planning for change and their return to independent living.
The Vinnies CEO Sleepout creates a community movement aiming to not only support people experiencing homelessness, but to prevent it.
You can donate to Alison’s fundraising effort on the CEO Sleepout website.
