- Wash clothes in cold water
- Install flow restrictors/aerators in tapware
- Replace 50 watt halogen downlight globes with 11 watt LED globes or 15 watt CFL globes
- Draught seal external doors and windows
- Replace incandescent globes with compact fluorescent globes
- Set thermostats to recommended temperatures
- Turn appliances off at the power point
- Install water efficient shower head (3 star model) or flow restrictor (9L/min)
- Purchase 100% GreenPower
- Dry clothes on clothes line/airer instead of dryer

The Moreland Energy Foundation in partnership with Sustainability Victoria, is undertaking a range of residential energy efficiency research projects.
We are looking for households to register their interest in participating. The four projects are:
Benefits of participation
Households participating in the halogen downlight and draught proofing studies will have products installed in their homes free of charge. Households participating in the wall insulation study will receive subsidised wall insulation.
Households participating in the home energy efficiency assessment study will receive a brief report containing the current house energy (star) rating of the house and ways to improve the star rating, plus a payment of $150.
Other research projects we've done with homes have been very popular so if you're interested we recommend registering as soon as possible.
