MEFL has developed a decision-support tool, the Sustainable Urban Development Framework, to make it easier for project managers, urban planners, and developers to integrate sustainability outcomes into development projects. This course will provide an overview of the framework and how it can be used throughout the various development phases including: initial concept, master planning, planning approval, design, construction, sales and marketing and operation.
All participants will receive a copy of the Sustainable Urban Development Framework to guide them through the process of consolidating and applying new sustainability strategies to their current and future projects.
The program will be led by MEFL and feature guest speakers with practical experience in embedding sustainability into urban development. A tour of local sustainable urban developments will demonstrate real world examples of sustainable urban development.
