We are looking for 6 people to join the MEFL team in a range of newly created positions.

We are excited to announce that the Moreland Solar City initiative has been fully funded and will commence immediately. The Australian Government will provide $4.9 million as part of a $10 million package to initiate a range of specific and practical programs in the City of Moreland. • 5000 households, 500 businesses and 50 community organisations will be directly supported with information and advice, access to rebates and packaged services to initially reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by 20% by 2010
  • 1000 energy efficiency audits and retrofits for low income households will assist families reduce energy use and avoid increasing energy costs.
  • Also, with a focus on central Coburg, Moreland Solar City will develop and deliver small-scale distributed power generation, large scale energy efficiency, environmentally sustainable building designs, low energy use and low impact construction on a scale not seen in Melbourne before. It is set to become a national and international example of how urban development can meet the challenges of a carbon constrained future.
