STEPS & SDS Training Dates Announced

April 30, 2008

MEFL is running regular introductory training courses on the use of the STEPS and SDS tools, which are used to assess the environmental performance of residential and non-residential buildings.

The STEPS and SDS tools were developed by the Cities of Moreland and Port Phillip to assess the environmental performance of both residential and non-residential buildings. Councils across the metropolitan area are beginning to use the STEPS and SDS tools as a standard component of their planning processes, with a number of regional councils also set to start using the tools in the near future. The industry training sessions have been designed to assist building industry professionals to develop an understanding of how the tools work and what they aim to assess.
