Cyclovia Moreland is on again!
April 13, 2008
Bring your bike, your friends and family and enjoy a car free Sydney road.
In 2006, Moreland was the first Australian city to hold a cyclovia. Although they are a new concept for Australia, Cyclovias have been operating around the world for more than thirty years in countries such as Columbia, France and Italy.
Cyclovia means "life to the street." On Sunday 13 April 2008 8am to 2pm, Sydney Road from Bell Street, Coburg to Brunswick Road, Brunswick will once again be opened up to the community to celebrate life on the street away from motoised traffic.
Come and stroll, pedal, shop or relax over coffee and cake on Sydney Road free and enjoy this community space in a new way.
Cyclovia Sydney Road is organised by the Moreland City Council.
If you are interested in volunteering as a marshal contact Nicholas Elliot at Moreland City Council for more information.
