This is a hands-on workshop designed to learn how to use the Sustainable Tools for Environmental Performance Strategy (STEPS) and Sustainable Design Scorecard (SDS) tools and understand their role in assisting planning applications. The sustainability and regulatory context for STEPS and SDS will be clarified, alongside an analysis of relevant VCAT decisions.

Who is eligible for Concession Assist?
Moreland residents in Fawkner, Glenroy or Hadfield and residents of Coolaroo, Meadow Heights or Campbellfield who hold a Concession Card, Health Care Card or Pension Card.
I rent. Can I use the service?
Yes, but you may need to get permission from your landlord. Alternatively, there are improvements your Home Energy Adviser can recommend that don’t need landlord’s permission. Kildonan UnitingCare can help you get permission from your landlord. A tailored renters’ package is available.
Is the Home Energy Check really free?
Yes. Concession Assist is free for Health Care, Pension and Concession Card holders living in the City of Moreland and for residents of Coolaroo, Meadow Heights and Campbellfield.
How do I know I can trust the Concession Assist service?
All Kildonan UnitingCare Home Energy Advisers and Home Improvement Installers have completed government accredited training and observe the highest safety standards.
How long will the Home Energy Check take?
The appointment will last 1.5 - 2 hours. Products are provided and installed free of charge during the check-up. A second appointment may be required to install window shading.
